This daydream clock can display the current time and date, number of unread Gmail messages, number of unread text messages, next alarm, and current weather at your location. The background color can be be set by the user, or can be automatically changed based on the current battery percentage (100=green, 0=red).
The information is presented in a nice, text only format, that slides in from the right and out to the left. Slide speed is user configurable.
User can set the following:
Each slide duration
Background color
Text color
Should current weather be displayed
Should next alarm be displayed
Should the user be notified when new GMail or text messages arrive
The following permissions are used:
ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION -- used to determine current location for weather.
VIBRATE -- used to notify the user that a GMail or text has arrived.
INTERNET -- used to contact the weather provider (once per daydream) to obtain weather information.
NETWORK ACCESS -- used to contact weather provider and for Google Analytic integration
READ_SMS -- used to determine when new text messages arrive.
READ_CONTENT_PROVIDER -- used to determine when new GMail arrives
GET_ACCOUNTS -- used to determine when new GMail arrives.
